Spirituality is not something personal. Spirituality belongs to everyone and it is an adamant need of everyone: children and adults, businessmen and street musicians, the world political leaders and the aborigines; the Light-bearers and the “magicians”; the religious philosophers and the scientists, the dreamers and the inventors!
In the 21st century, the era of nanotechnology, Internet, AI and quantum physics, movies like “The Matrix,” “What the Bleep… do We Know” (The Mystery of Life), “The Secret”, etc., along with titles such as “spiritual healing,” alternative modalities for human health care, rejuvenation, and the development of the human potential through the wisdom teachings of Prophets and names in those fields — such as Peter Deunov, Falco Tarassaco, Deepak Chopra, Mirzakarim Norbekov, Thich Nhat Hanh, Neale Donald Walsh and many others — do not sound so strange or out of place. On the contrary, we see and hear about them everywhere — in bookstores, on talk-shows, on social media. We seek them out everywhere for their wisdom and guidance.
They do not carry us away in a fantasy or in the seemingly mystical world of our assumptions. These great Thinkers and Healers of the human psyche and body, these Enlightened transformers of the human condition do not offer fake promises or quick recipes for health and wellbeing. The modern hectic “life-horse” of multinational corporate business and multi-level marketing variations, and especially high-risk and unstable economic environment across the globe, paradoxically but quite clearly predispose even the most skeptical to open up their thought routine and to turn their gaze towards topics such as “developing the human potential,” “expanding one's consciousness,” “re-inventing oneself and achieving harmony inside and outside.” We are searching after our own selves, we are looking for effective communication! We are looking for relaxation and change of our status of “animals in cages.” We seek harmony, peace, joy, fulfillment!
The use of words like “meditation”, “yoga”, “Reiki”, “insight,” “self-realization”, “enlightenment” increasingly become more common language in our lives and an active part of everyday jargon of communication in any environment — personal, professional, religious, political, social — as well as among all age groups. All this is not accidental!
Questions like: “Where do we come from, why are we here? Where are we headed?”, “What is the meaning of life?”, “Am I really happy and how do I become that?” seem to become more and more relevant nowadays, and are not reserved for a particular religious, ethnic or otherwise isolated group, community or people. Contemporary modern psychology utilizes openly and credibly Buddhist techniques and approaches; the Centers for sports, recreation and rehabilitation use all sorts of elements and their combinations of the ancient traditions of Taoism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Shinto, Shamanism etc. — including ancient Thracian and other indigenous Cultural and Spiritual Traditions. These are underlying the work of practitioners in relevant disciplines and therapeutic recreation industries, sometimes even unconsciously to them.
The inevitable Stress-Battle within the Self — a signature of our century — calls to be addressed while it is seeking to change and destroy, as often happened in ancient times, millions of years of existence, evolution and experience of humankind within the larger eco-system of life. The same age-old questions were asked then, and perhaps also answered, in a manner worthy of notice. Now, in the so-called New Age, the Age of Aquarius, in the new possible prophesised time-line, the new planetary and cosmic vibrations are awakening and the cosmic consciousness of the Real wakes up from a deep sleep. Thus, all essence of knowledge and wisdom contained and encoded in the memory of the spiritual civilization becomes important, perhaps even a vital need for us and for the existence of our planet.
